Practice

Compliance

With extensive experience in advising Ukrainian and international companies on compliance, internal policies and risk management, we help clients design, implement and improve compliance systems that reflect their activities, organisational structure and risk profile.

Our team provides practical legal support in developing and implementing effective compliance policies and procedures, assessing compliance risks, strengthening internal control systems and ensuring that companies' activities comply with applicable law, regulation, internal standards and generally accepted principles of business ethics.

We help our clients prevent, detect and properly respond to potential violations, including cases of corruption, bribery, fraud, conflicts of interest and other forms of misconduct. Our work covers drafting internal policies and codes of conduct, introducing third-party and business partner due diligence procedures, improving whistleblowing mechanisms, and integrating compliance requirements into companies' day-to-day operations and their relations with employees, suppliers, distributors and other business partners.

We support our clients at every stage of a compliance system: from the initial assessment of existing policies, procedures and risks to the design and implementation of appropriate measures, training of employees and periodic review of internal compliance mechanisms. Our approach aligns compliance requirements with the client's business goals, operational needs and risk profile, while promoting transparency, accountability and a corporate culture of integrity.

DEGA Partners passed a compliance audit conducted by an international corporate client from Germany with compliance officers from three countries.

The audit covered internal policies and procedures on anti-corruption, counterparty checks, prevention of conflicts of interest, regulation of gifts and representation expenses, and fulfilment of contractual compliance requirements.
